Well, this year has just flown by, hasn’t it?!
For me 2017 was a really big year filled with lots to be grateful for. Early in the year I got my long term visa to work in the UK after months and months of waiting, which was a huge weight off my chest. Once that fell into place, I started a really interesting and challenging new job and on the side I’ve been running this site – and both have been really rewarding experiences so far. To top it all off Christian and I got married in August in South Tyrol after 10 years together (five of which were long-distance between Canada and Italy), and we’re continuing to build our life here in London.
Yes, 2017 was indeed a great year, but I have no doubt 2018 will bring lots of new adventures and challenges. The first big thing coming our way is our honeymoon in New Zealand at the end of January – I literally can’t wait!
Now on to my favourite things from this last month… there have been so many, so here’s a small selection, along with some photos from our stay in North Yorkshire for our first UK Christmas with friends.
And with that, I wish you all a very happy New Year 2018!
